The two beach wheelchairs have been funded through the Green Recovery funds from the Welsh government awarded to Anglesey County Council and the AONB team. Anglesey County Council bought them with the aim of making Anglesey’s beaches accessible to everyone. The two chairs are one adult size and one child size. The chairs are on tour in Traeth Lligwy until the end of September. Anglesey County Council hopes that if the accessible beach wheelchairs receive good feedback, they will be permanently available on Lligwy Beach beach for next summer.
How to order chairs:
To order the chairs, individuals should ask the staff members of the Café in Lligwy and they will have the paperwork. Please note that booking is on a first come, first served basis.
