About us

Welcome to Piws – where inclusion isn’t just an idea, it’s a movement.

We’re a Wales-based not for profit organisation working to improve the lives of families with disabled children and young adults. Our mission is simple but powerful: to create a more accessible, welcoming, and equal Wales—one conversation, venue, and experience at a time.

We believe that inclusion starts with listening. That’s why everything we do is shaped by lived experience. Whether we’re improving access to public spaces, supporting young people to become Access Ambassadors, or helping venues deliver better customer service—we’re here to build lasting, meaningful change.

Who We Work With

Key Stakeholders

We collaborate with organisations who share our passion for equity and change. Together, we co-create projects that empower disabled children, young people, and families. These Stakeholders Partners help us pilot new ideas, test training models, and bring innovation to life.

It’s not about ticking boxes—it’s about designing for real impact.

Piws Partners

These are the businesses and organisations committed to improving their accessibility from the inside out. From staff training to sensory-friendly facilities, our Partners are taking positive steps to make sure everyone feels welcome—every day.

Better information, better access, better experiences.

Access Ambassadors

Our brilliant Access Ambassadors are people with lived experience of disability who review venues, test services, and share their insights. They are the voice of Piws in action—ensuring that improvements reflect real needs, not assumptions.

Inclusion led by those who live it.

What We’re Aiming For

We want a Wales where:

  • Every child feels seen and included
  • Faimilies with a disabled child and disabled adults can explore and enjoy public spaces confidently
  • Businesses know how to welcome everyone, not just some
  • People with lived experience are at the heart of planning, design and decision-making

With the support of our community, we’re growing a network of change-makers, one venue and one voice at a time.
