Android workshop: Make a social story

Social stories help children with additional needs to develop a greater social understanding of how the world around them works, and help them stay safe.

Join this workshop and learn how to create a simple visual tool to help your family cope with, and understand, new situations.

We will use the app ‘InShot’ to make a social story. ‘InShot’ is a free app available from the Google Play Store.

We are holding this workshop online via Zoom. An experienced trainer and a member of staff from the Family Fund team will be there to support.

Please note

• This is a friendly, informal workshop for parents and carers of disabled or seriously ill children and young people.
• You’ll need to have an Android tablet (or phone) to take part in the workshop activities.
• To keep your tablet free to use during the workshop, you will need to join the Zoom call on another device, such as a smartphone or laptop.
