The Christmas Service at Bangor Cathedral is more than just a festive gathering — it is a celebration of inclusion, community, and joy. Organised by Piws, the service has become a highlight of the season for families across North Wales.
Each year, children from local schools and clubs join us, offering performances that are both moving and inspiring. From readings to carols, every contribution reflects the spirit of Christmas and the importance of celebrating together in a safe, relaxed, and welcoming environment.
Accessibility is at the heart of this service. The Cathedral is fully wheelchair accessible, with a dedicated drop-off bay leading to a sloped entrance path, and a lift available next to the main steps. This ensures that everyone, regardless of ability, can join in the celebration without barriers.
While refreshments and light snacks will be provided at the end of the service, please note that Christmas gifts for children may only be available if donations are secured.
Piws invites schools, organisations, and individuals to not only attend but also take part in the service. Whether you wish to sing, read, or perform, your involvement helps make this event truly special.
