Pedal Power
- Selection of adaptive bikes suitable for users with a range of physical impairments
Pedal Power is dedicated to making cycling accessible to everyone. The charity hires out a variety of bicycles – including trikes, hand-cycles, wheelchair bikes and side-by-side bikes – at Alyn Waters, Wrexham’s largest country park. There’s a training area, a mile-long circuit to cruise around, and a wheelchair-friendly sculpture trail.
It is the largest and longest established inclusive cycling charities in Wales, with two sites one in Cardiff Bay and the other in Pontcanna. It has won 3 awards before the pandemic *Cardiff life award for health and wellbeing
*Carers must silver award
*Cycling UKs cyclist cafe of the year.
It is free for carers to use and through experience, expertise and equipment they aim to remove barriers to cycling so it can truly be inclusive.
