PIWS Partnership – Membership Terms and Conditions
Introduction
These Terms and Conditions govern the membership of the PIWS Partnership. By joining the Partnership, members agree to support its aims, uphold its values, and comply with the conditions outlined below.
Purpose of the Partnership
The PIWS Partnership exists to:
- Promote inclusive, accessible and sustainable tourism and business growth in Wales
- Facilitate collaboration between public, private, and third-sector organisations
- Support members through networking, training, advocacy, and shared resources
Eligibility for PIWS partners
The PIWS partnership is open to:
- Tourism, hospitality, and leisure businesses
- Community organisations and social enterprises
- Public sector stakeholders and educational institutions
- Freelancers or consultants working within the visitor economy
All members must demonstrate alignment with the Partnership’s core objectives and commitment to ethical and sustainable practices.
PIWS Partnership responsibilities
By becoming a member, you agree to:
- Actively engage in any meetings, events, or working groups where possible
- Share information and opportunities that benefit the wider Partnership
- Uphold professional standards and treat fellow partners with respect
- Promote the Partnership in a positive and collaborative manner
- Provide feedback and data to support the Partnership’s impact measurement and reporting
Code of Conduct
All PIWS Partners must:
- Respect the diversity of views within the Partnership
- Avoid behaviour that could bring the Partnership into disrepute
- Not use Partnership membership for personal or political gain
- Maintain confidentiality where required
Membership Fees
The Partnership is subject to an annual fee (or monthly fees), which will be reviewed annually. PIWS partners will be notified in advance of any changes to fee structures.
Duration and Renewal:
Memberships are typically annual contracts that automatically renew.
- Cancellation:
PIWS Partners must inform the PIWS team of their intention to cancel before the renewal date, often with a one-month notice period.
- Payment:
Payment arrangements, such as direct debits, will continue unless cancelled.
Communications and Data
Partners agree to receive communications relevant to the work of the Partnership, including newsletters, meeting invitations, and project updates. All data will be handled in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Termination of Membership
PIWS Partners may be terminated if a member:
- Breaches the terms set out in this agreement
- Acts in a way that damages the reputation or objectives of the Partnership
- Fails to engage or respond to communications over a sustained period
Termination will be at the discretion of the PIWS board of directors, following fair notice and an opportunity for the member to respond.
Amendments to Terms
PIWS reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions. PIWS partner members will be notified of any changes and given an opportunity to review and respond.
